Kevin Best

Kevin graduated from Penn State in 1997 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he went to work for Texaco's international construction engineering group with assignments in New Orleans, P. R. China, and Houston helping to design, coordinate, and build offshore oil platforms. Kevin returned to school as the reservoir engineer on the first GeoSystems team with interests in subsurface characterization and modeling. After completing his MS in the Initiative Kevin took a job with BP in Houston, TX.

Charles Bohn

Charles graduated from Colorado State University in 2006 with a B.S. degree in Geology. While at Colorado State, Charles received the Honor Senior in Geology Award, which is awarded to the senior with the highest GPA in the Colorado State University Geosciences Department. View his in-depth profile.

Joe Comisky

Joe graduated from Penn State in 1999 with a BS in Geosciences after completing a senior thesis centered on predicting subsurface pressures from seismic data. He then joined the Geosystems Initiative where his main research was in the area of petrophysics and well log analysis. After graduation Joe went to work for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in Houston, TX.

Chekwube Enunwa

Chekwube received her undergraduate degree in geology at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria, where she received the 1999 Petropros Scholarship Award from the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists. She took part in an industrial training program at National Petroleum Investment Management Services, and she spent her compulsory year of National Youth Service at the Exploration Laboratory of Chevron Nigeria Limited. After completing her studies in the Initiative, Chekwube went to work with Shell in Houston, Texas.

Umut Gokcesu

Umut received the Honour Student award in 2001, and High Honour Student awards in 2000 and 2002. He spent a summer working at the Turkish Petroleum Corporation, and his undergaduate project was presented at the 14th International Petroleum and Natural Gas Congress and Exhibition of Turkey.

Eric Kuhl

Eric received a BS in Geological Engineering from Michigan Technical University before becoming the Petroleum Engineer in GeoSystems Team 2. After completing his MS in the Initiative, Eric took a job with Newfield Exploration in Houston, TX.

Tin-Wai Lee

Tin Wai received a BA in Geology from Cornell University before joining Team 2 as a Geologist/Geophysicist. She is now working for Shell Exploration and Production in New Orleans as a Geologist.

Asha Ramgulam

Asha finished her undergraduate degree in concert with her first semester in the GeoSystems Initiative (receiving her BS and becoming a full Team member in December of 2003). Asha spent the summer of 2002 interning with ChevronTexaco in Bakersfield, CA. After completing her MS in the Initiative, Asha took a job with Chevron in Houston, Texas.

Joe Razzano

Joe graduated from Northeastern University with a double major in Physics and Environmental Geology. He spent the summer of 2001 as a research intern at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies at the Dunsink Observatory. He also held co-op positions at General Electric and Draper Laboratory, and he spent a semester at sea conducting a geologic research project. After graduation, Joe took a job with Shell Companies in New Orleans, Lousiana.

Matt Reilly

Matt earned a BS degree in Geology from the University of Durham in 2006.

Ben Seldon

Ben earned a B.Sc. in Geology and Geophysics (Honors Degree) at the University of Durham in 2000. He then spent a year working with the GEOPOP consortium in Britain doing basin modeling before becoming the Geologist/Petrophysicist in Team 2. Ben now works as a Production Geologist for Shell International Exploration and Production in The Netherlands.

Doruk Seren

Doruk earned a BS degree in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State in 2006.
