Trying to Import Illustrator files into a Framemaker document?

Framemaker does not support alpha channels or graphics that are larger than 8 bit. So, when you look at an image in Framemaker that you imported from Illustrator, on the screen it looks dithered. BUT, when you print it out, it will print more clearly. Follow these steps to get clear figures into Framemaker:

1. Create the image in Illustrator
2. save as illustrator .eps
3. save the image in 7.0 format and click on "dynamic fonts" box
4. Open Framemaker
5. Create an anchored frame
6. Import the Illustrator .eps image
Yes, it will look crappy, but when you print it, you will be pleasantly suprised.
