Printing out large Pro-Max 2-D Lines on the Plotter
- Enter Pro-Max and edit the flow (flow 1) that you wish to print.
- Toggle off Trace Display
- Add Disk Data Output.
- Click onto the file name and click the middle mouse button.
- Create a file to output the 2-D line. Ex, file 1. Click on the current file name to display all of the output files. Add a new file if a suitable output file doesn’t exist.
- Under disk data input, make sure that you are inputing all of the data, not just selected traces.
- Execute the flow.
- Create a new flow in Pro-max (flow 2), and input file 1 as the Disk Data input
- Create a CGM file in Pro-max. Add the Create cgm+ plotfile to flow_2.
- Middle click on the CGM command and fill in the plotfile’s attributes.
- plot name: cgmplot.cgm
- plot units: inches
- spatial domain of input data: usu CDP
- First and last CDP
- CDP increment
- Trace Spacing: ~40 spaces per inch
- Time scale: ~6 inches/sec
- Execute the flow.
- Exit Pro-max
- View the CGM file before you print it with SDI-View
- To start SDI-view type in this command line at at terminal window. /pecten/s0/sdi/sdi_view/ sdi_view cgmplot.cgm /boris/s0/promax_home/user_id/bullwinkle/line_16437/flow_2/cgmplot.cgm
- If you can view it in SDI-View, the file is ready to print.
- Make sure someone is in Miley’s
- Change to your home directory
- type source zgs.login
- type plotfile. This will begin a program that will print your file.
- Choose cgm as your printer file type
- type in the pathname where the file is located, /boris/s0/promax_home/user_id/bullwinkle/ line_16437/flow_2/cgmplot.cgm
- Enter the plotter name: 2500cp
- 1 copy
- Get your print out.
